Pr. Reyns presenting the concept of Photodynamic Therapy for the treatment of Glioblastoma during the latest NENO meeting in Lille (France)

The NENO meeting was held in Lille November, 4th 2016 and gathered experts in Neuro-Oncology from East and North of France. This successful meeting was chaired by Dr. Emilie Lerhun and communications on hot topics from the different Neuro-Oncology domains were presented. Latest developments in Photodynamic therapies for the treatment of Glioblastoma were reported.

The talk presented by Pr. Reyns (University Hospital of Lille - Inserm U1189) focused on the translational development of Photodynamic Therapies from preclinical and medical devices development to bedside, in particular the pilot study INDYGO was highlighted. Additionally, the second oral communication of Pr. Reyns was dedicated to the Neurosurgery Department experience with intraoperative MRI. This second talk illustrated the positive impact of using intraoperative MRI during low grade glioma resection.
