Lille University Hospital is the 1st university hospital campus in Northern Europe. It is a bench-mark university hospital for primary care, teaching, innovation and research, serving the four million inhabitants of the Nord-Pas de-Calais region. Its vocation is to develop innovations and to treat serious pathologies requiring the state-of-the-art medico-technical platforms, specialized expertise and multidisciplinary care. It is a complex of 9 hospitals on a unique medical campus, gathering 15 University Hospital centers, 3,000 beds, employing almost 15,000 people including near 3,500 doctors. There are more than 1,100,000 consultations and out-patient care cases per year (for more than 190,000 stays). In the emergency Units, 115,000 patients are accepted per year.
